High pH in tap

I'm thinking that this has probably been asked by now but I couldn't find the answer I'm looking for so here goes my problem is this my tap has a pH of 8.2 after a day in the room it changes to 7.2 and stays there so before I would just leave in room then change but now it's cold and the room is colder then the aquarium so I have the problem that I can't get it to the same temp for the aged water would it be OK to change directly from the tap using hot and cold water to get the desired temp or close to it even with the high ph
PS thanks in advanced

Learn to punctuate high pH is probably due to liming of the water to prevent pipe degradation this removes CO2 hence the high pH that drops after many hours temp doesn't matter much since fish are very tolerant to temporary changes
