Starting up Osmocote tabs

I have been EI dosing (maybe about 2/3 of full EI) for months and my plants are doing great. I had to add some Seachem root tabs to my ecocomplete substrate when I first started up the tank which helped so about every 3 months I put more root tabs in. I've been monitoring nitrates and looks like i can maintain it at 20 or 30 between weekly water changes of 50% so I figured my EI dosing is probably adequate.

My flora and fauna include: crypt balansae, fissidens fontanus, fissidens thailand, s repens, blyxa japonica, blyxa aubertii, rotala H'ra, Lindernia, m. crenata, rotala rotundifola, mermaid weed, ludwigia red, e. tenellus. I do have some amano shrimp, rainbows, tetras, 5 dwarf plecos, gold barbs, catfish, gobis.

My tank is: 75 gal, pressurized CO2, finnex monster + finnex ray 2 with PAR at substrate about 80, kH 7, gH not known but calcium is 80 ppm. I have some BBA but I either spot Excel or peroxide every other day for the spots I do find and all is in check.

Here's my question: I want to move to Osmocote plus root tabs because it looks like people get fabulous results. Its been 3 months since I did the Seachem root tabs so I figured now is the time to move over to osmocote. If I do Osmocote, 6 inches apart across the entire tank, do I need to do any EI dosing anymore? I understand Osmocote has macros so maybe I don't need to add any to the water column anymore thorugh EI dosing. Am I thinking about this correctly? Anybody made the move off EI and to Osmocote?
