Re-scaping with new plants - do I continue EI dosing or rest?

Hello,

I have decided to completely rescape my 180L planted tank to achieve a more Iwagumi style tank with Baltic Rock and all-green plants such as P. Helferi, Glosso and Eleo.

This also means swapping out my current JBL Manado (brown) to Eco-complete (near black).

I'm going to keep as much of the mulm from the old substrate to prevent any sort of mini-cycles or spikes, and put at least 30kg of Eco-complete in.

Now - because I'm using a load of new 'baby' plants as well as cuttings from the plants I currently have in this set up, would dosing EI method be 'too much' to start off with or am I ok?

Everything else is staying the same - except I'm changing the substrate and at least 70% of the plants to new plants, to achieve an Iwagumi style tank (search online).

Thanks
Dan

Eco complete is inert so you'll want to add some nutrients for the plants. Also be prepare for a mini cycle, its rather difficult to avoid a cycle when you change all the substrate.

I don't think you will have any issues with EI dosing.
