Question Am I double dosing?

Hi there,

I have a 75gal long, medium-heavy planted, fluval stratum substrate, 2 month old tank and I'm using 4 x T5HO 4 foot tubes 12 inches from top of tank (high light) and co2

my question is a mixed one..

whilst all the plants are somewhat still becoming established, they have all dropped several shades of green from when I brought them home, I would call them "yellow green" new growth comes out bright green and after a few weeks yellows off. (my hairgrass is the worst, very yellow, not spreading throughout the tank at all, not sending runners out) even my frog bit floating plants are yellow and many leaves have rotted. I'm keen on getting my dosing right and am using a mix of ferts I had and some new ADA stuff

I'm dosing
15ml brighty K - daily
15ml green brighty special lights - every other day
5ml flourish comprehensive - twice weekly

Is there some ferts not being included in the mix? am I over fertilising or doubling up? its also a very loose substrate (my dwarf gourami pulls my hairgrass out with ease ) I would love to have the hairgrass spread out from where I planted it and see the general health of the plants improve and would value any insights one might have on this

You aren't dosing enough fertz. You probably need to quadruple the amount you dose at a minimum because those amounts don't amount to much.

High light AND CO2 you should probably move to dry ferts, the amounts you would need to provide with commercial products would break the bank.

Here's a link that explains ferts:

And a calculator you can use to see just how much of your current products you'd need to use to meet the needs of your plants.

This poster sells dry ferts as well as mixed solutions in dosing bottles:

Or you can get dry ferts from here:
