Water Report?

Everyone talks about being able to find reports of water quality with how much Ca / Mg / etc... their local water contains.

I can't find anything that includes Ca or Mg lol

Can someone point me in the right direction? I need the report for Dover NH if you want to hook me up!

Thanks

This is the first thing I found after a quick search: http://www.dover.nh.gov/government/c...ity/index.html

Notably the report doesn't seem to include Ca or Mg.

On that page there's a link for NH DES’ Drinking Water Source Assessment Program which leads to a dead link. If you want more info though it does give you an address to go to or a # to call.

My local government also doesn't include results for a lot of things that may or may not be present in the water. I assume there are some regulations which dictates what needs to be included.

You've probably already seen that, but in case you haven't I hope it helps!

Smile Soft Water Ain't All That Soft...On the Enviornment

Give the water folks a call and ask to speak to a chemist… Your city may (probably) has more than one source so it helps to know which one you are on, though your address will no doubt tell.

Let them know you are a hobbyist, know emergency, many times they are far more chatty when they know what it is about.

The water business can be kind of nasty and often the water softener sales (and others) do not like independent information out there.

Respectfully,

Interesting...

I found that link too but ignored the call #. Was wondering if there was some large database that keeps track of all this crap somewhere that I was missing.

I'll call tomorrow and see what happens.

Thanks everyone
