seiryu stone raising ph

So i set up a nano tank with ADA aqua soil and used some seiryu stones. And i know the ada soil is supposed to buffer the ph down to the 6 ish range but right now its really high i don't know how high i just know the test kit shows up blue which i know is way too high. right now i have amano shrimp and ember tetras in the tank. Is this ok? I've been trying to lower it with acid buffer but i just goes back up within the day. Suggestions on how to keep the ph lower?

Yes, seiryu stones, or, at least , some of them do buffer the pH. Forget the acid buffer...it does not work for long and you are just adding a ton of TDS to the system. Don't fight your water. You may need to live with the high pH or remove the stones. Your call.

Or do massive water changes every couple of days. The water is very soft out of the tap with low TDS. I'm sure the Amano's like the high TDS from the rocks. Not so sure about the ember tetras.
