When to start Purigen in a new tank

Friends

I am starting a new planted tank.
I am waiting for the plants to arrive.

Is there a right time to start the Purigen in a new tank ?

Appreciate if experienced members can advise.

Thanks

ame

anytime would be a good time haha! great product! you could also just let the tank cycle regularly and add it when you also add fish (thats what I did)? anyone else want to chime in?

Thanks

I was concerned because I remember reading somewhere to remove the carbon pad from filter after new tank is set up.

May be Purigen will absorb some nutrients that plants need in early days.

I am using ADA aquasoil for the first time..worried about the extra ammonia..reading through Purigen..hope it will absorb the ammonia adequately. In addition I have two cycled(with fish for two weeks and Cycle) Eheim canister filter. Also I plan to do 50% water change daily for the first week.

Also starting high CO2 and planting fast growing stem plants.

Just dont want algae in early days of my tank...fingers crossed.

You can add the Purigen at any time - now, or when the tank is cycled and you get fish - doesn't matter.
Purigen picks up a lot of impurities or other unwanted material, assists in removing toxic material, or neutralizes conditions that develop toxicity, but doesn't adversely affect plant nutrients to any discernible degree.
I've used it for years in my planted tanks.
Go for it.
