Nitrate problem

I have realized that my tank produces PLENTY of nitrates on it's own. I don't need KNO3 in my macro solution.
I would like to dose K2HPO4, but I need a potassium source to go with it.

I want to mix my macros in a 500mL dosing bottle. The tank is 10g. Any suggestions/help?

See the link below. The K2SO4 doses are for 2.2ppm. If you have high light and CO2 just triple that dose. Low light and excel, use it as listed (2.2ppm).

So are you saying I just replace the KNO3 in the mixtures with K2SO4?

No. Just don't add the KNO3. The K2SO4 dose would depend on the type of tank you have.

5ml/10 gallons

KNO3 46.3 gm (approximately 9 teaspoons)
KH2PO4 7 gm (approximately 1 1/4 teaspoons)
Plantex CSM+B 29 gm (approximately 6 3/4 teaspoons)
Optional: K2SO4 19 gm (approximately 3 teaspoons)

Yes? And that means I dose 5mL total per day in my 10g

It depends on whether you inject CO2 or use Excel

CO2 Injection
1ml/Gallon

KNO3 23.1 gm (approximately 4 1/2 teaspoons)
KH2PO4 3.5 gm (approximately 3/4 teaspoons)
Plantex CSM+B 14.5 gm (approximately 3 1/4 teaspoons)
Optional: K2SO4 28.2 gm (approximately 4 1/2 teaspoons)

Excel
KNO3 7.7 gm (approximately 4 1/2 teaspoons)
KH2PO4 1.17 gm (approximately 1/4 teaspoons)
Plantex CSM+B 4.8 gm (approximately 1 1/8 teaspoons)
Optional: K2SO4 9.4 gm (approximately 1 1/2 teaspoons)

I don't dose Kno3 at all, instead I dose K2so4 and Po4.
