Amount of Flourish Seachem to use?

Just set up a new planted tank. Fairly new to dosing etc. Anyway, I purchased a bottle of Flourish. The back of the bottle directs 1 capful (5ml) per 60 gallons. I have an 8 gallon tank... there is no way for me to measure that small of an amount using the cap, especially considering the smallest unit of measurement is 1ml per cap thread. Any suggestions on how I can use it? I unfortunately do not have any chemistry pipettes lying about my house either. Otherwise, I'd do that. Other ideas would be very much appreciated!

They sell droppers in the drug store. 1ml is equal to approximately 20 drops. so, 10ml is 200 drops.

each ring on the cap of the bottle is approx. 1ml. so one ring on the inside of cap will be 12g worth. so just alil less then the 1 ring.

Save yourself a lot of trouble and go to the local tractor supply or feed store and grab a few 3 or 5 ml syringes. They can measure extremely accurately and make dosing a breeze. Also be sure to account for the fact that plants, substrate, decorations are taking up water space in your tank so you may need to back the dosage down a little bit.

You can always mix a diluted solution.

Have an old water bottle laying around? Those are usually 500ml.

Add 1/4 cup plus a half tablespoon to that bottle (that's 66.6ml) . Then fill with water.

Now you have a bottle of Flourish comprehensive that you can use 5ml per 8 gallons and get the same dose.

Here's the math if you care to look lol...

How many doses are there for 8 gallons in 5ml?
60g / 8g = 7.5 doses 5ml

What's the ratio of water to fertilizer?
100 / 7.5 = 13.333%

So we want a solution that's 13.333% fertilizer.

500ml * 0.13333 = 66.66665ml
