Miracle-Gro Shake 'n Feed Continuous Release All Purpose Plant Food

Hi,

Can I use this product in my aquariums, as a root fertilizer put in the substrate, similar to Osmocote+?

http://www.miraclegro.com/smg/goprod...food/prod70290

Here is a detailed analysis of the product ingredients:
http://www.miraclegro.com/smg/produc...ro/pdf/SNF.pdf

It says its "derived from polymer coated: Ammonium Nitrate, Urea..."

Thanks in advance!

You could give it a try. But it sure does have a lot of ammonia and urea. I would personally not be putting it in my tanks.

I believe its missing some stuff, you need to add another dry fert to it, if its the same as the tomato one. Here is a discussion on it.

You can buy Osmocote+ at wal-mart I just checked yesterday.
