New RO (reverse osmosis) System

I just got a RO system installed in my house. Two reasons: I wanted better quality water for drinking then my basic filter system and I was tired of buying RO water from the fish store for my tank. We have really hard water where I live.

I tested the water today and am shocked at the results. My tap water is off the charts in GH scale (16) or 300+ ppm. My RO water comes in at 2 or around 35 ppm. That is a BIG difference! The PH is about the same...maybe slightly more acidic for the RO water.

I ordered the system through Costco online. It is a Watts system.

Overall I'm extremely pleased. Maybe I will set up that discus tank I've been dreaming about....

Which watts system did you purchase? How many gallons does it produce per day?

I purchased model WP-4V. The costco unit has a different number but the unit is the model I gave. The "V" means that it also removes VOC (volitale organic chemicals). I don't know the exact gallons per day, but I know it is more then I need. Maybe in the 20's?

Ordering through costco.com is cheaper then ordering direct.
