First time EI dosing, Need advice

Hello TPT, I have just installed my first Preessuried Co2 system, I've always had a problem with algea probably due to my dull bulbs that needed replacing years ago.

I have a juwel vision 260, with Juwel High lite T5 tubes, Now normally people go with say a "nature" tube and a "high lite" or "colour" and high lite.

I don't really like the look of high lite so i have nature and colour, I have HC cuba and want to have a full carpet, There looking pretty dull i WC'd yesterday and added a macro today.

I want to do EI dosing, I have ordered everything on this chart (except excel as i have pressurised co2) http://www.seachem.com/support/PlantDoseChart.pdf

As you can see i don't have many plant's so im thinking just to dose the amount on the chart or less, i also am a little reluctant to use the phospates at this time due to algea.

Water levels are 6.4PH (vary's due to co2) 1-2KH 4DGH 150TDS

I also get alot of nitrates which i need to keep down as i am getting 50 cardinal's on Tuesday to stock the tank, currently i have corydoras, rummy nose, black neon, neon tetra's

(black neon's need to go)

Would appreciate any advice because i only know basic's of Co2 and EI dosing.

here are pic's fish are stressed and lacking colour due to me netting guppies out and catching bloodfin's as i went to LFS.

I am also prone to black sand which is highly frustrating as i put a bamboo stick in and mix sand every week.

Plant's also look more dull then normal due to a late due WC because i normally add macro with WC.

Also any advice on aquascaping or moving my plant's etc would be very helpful.

Thanks

Bradley .
