Should I lower or stop KNO3 dosing to lower nirates?

I'm going to do another big clean and water change but my nitrates are the same as before a 50% water change yesterday (~100ppm). Would lowering or stopping KNO3 help this?

Don't add Kno3 if you have high nitrates., food and waste add to that. I haven't added any Kno3 since I started, I dose K2so4 instead.

I would look for a different cause.

First- make sure you're using the test kit right, especially if its API. Give it a good shake.

Possible causes: over feeding, plant decay, DIRTY FILTERS and others

I caps that because I found that to be the root cause of my extremely high nitrates at the time. I did a rinse of biomedia (in removed tank water) and changed out my disposable media (filter floss) and that solved the problem.
