Nitrite question

I just checked my nitrite and it is at .25. Is this because I did a ton of moving around the plants last night. My Ammonia is at 0, and usually my nitrite is at 0. Any thoughts?

Will it simmer down soon?

Also do I need to be regually checking my nitrates? I usually just check annomia and nitrite.

Thoughts on this?

also in my planted tank the drop checker is a yellow color. I know that is when it is in "danger" zone, but none of my fish are freaking out. They aren't coming to top. I have really high light for my tank. (5.5 wpg) Do you think it is ok to leave the drop checker at that clear yellow as long as fish aren't up at the top?

Did you move the DC out from under the diffuser like you had it before? Is it 4dkh reagent? Have you changed the reagent recently (it needs to be changed periodically, I usually do it every couple weeks, or if it gets splashed etc during a water change)?

Yes I did. Take a look at my sig, and you can see where everything is. The drop checker is on the far right. The co2 is on the far left back conner.

I changed the drop checker liquid today. Can fish still be ok with it in the yellow? I thought very high lights like I have needed more co2.

If the fish are fine, I wouldn't worry about it. If you see any distress, back off the co2 a bit

What are you using for a reagent? If your 4dKH reagent was not made properly the results of your drop checker won't be accurate.
