CO2 for 175g (multiple reactors?)
i am setting up a new 175 g tank and i am new to CO2 injection. I have an Aquamedic 1000 reactor in the outer line of one of my canisters and a PH controller.
I have been running 2-3 bps CO2 rate flow for the last 2 days during the day (off at night). PH dropped 0.8 over 2 days, which seems very slow.
Obviosly there is not enough CO2 in the tank.
Question is, is it even possble to achieve good CO2 levels with Aquamedic 1000 alone? Should i try to go constant stream of bubbles? Any chance of having too MUCH CO2 in that case?
Is second reactor necessary for tank this size?
Currently there are plants and shrimp in the tank, but no fish (still trying to work out all the kinks in the setup before i put fish in)
