purigen question

How does one tell when the Purigen is spent?

What color should it be when it is time for a regeneration?

A brown color should signify that it's time for regeneration.

Yep, once it's discolored significantly, just follow the recipe and it will be good to go again. The stuff is pretty great, and it can usually be recharged a few times, so it's not a bad investment (although definitely not necessary)
