looking to get a ro/di unit

im looking to buy a ro\di unit but i dont want to buy anything thats junk.. i know there are some ebay units for like 60-100 bucks.. and then theres captive purity and kent marine units. my question is which is the best bang for the buck. i tried searching ro units but its hard when you cant search for 2 letter words. are you guys using just ro water for water changes or ro\di water? thanks

My advice isn't great, but if I were you, I'd browse Marine forums (nano-reef, reef-central). They use RO/DI almost exclusively. If you search there for "ebay ro/di" i'll bet you get some hits.

I use tap water here.

I got my 100gpd unit from Aqua Safe Systems on eBay and love it. Can't go wrong for the price.

You could also consider Buckeye Field Supply. I have one of their RO/DI units, and it works like a champ. The best part is that they are extremely helpful people, even if you have little to no knowledge about these systems (like I did when I purchased mine). Just my $0.02

I have a 300/g reef tank and I bought my RO/DI unit from Buckeye Field Supply. They have great customer service and also good prices...

Good Luck!
