iron and phosphate reaction?

I know im not suposed to mix my iron and phosphate or something like that. I was told its because the reaction creats heat. Thats not an issue when i think about it but my question is, does this reaction cause the iron to be unuseable to the plants?

Iron phosphate usually will precipitate out of solution and becomes unusable to plants. This is why they are generally not stored together.

At no point is iron oxide created.

I'm not sure where your friend got that idea from.
