Excel in 45?

I currently have a 45 gallon tank with a dirt capped substrate and a dual T5 fixture. I don't have Co2 and I was wondering if it would be worth using excel in a tank my size. I also wanted to know if excel would be fine with dwarf sag. Also, what other ferts from seachem would you recommend?

I would say that Excel, in the long run, will be more expensive than CO2.

This is particularly true for larger aquariums, such as yours.

I think Excel should be fine with Dwarf Sag. There are some plants that do not tolerate it well.

Are you set on using Seachem fertilizers? In the long run, you will save more money buying bulk chemicals and mixing up your own fertilizers. If you are set on using the Seachem line, however, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium will be required for the macronutrients. Then you will want a micronutrient source (such as Flourish Comprehensive or the like).
