Does my dosing sound reasonable?
I have a fairly new (6 weeks) 12 gallon long tank with a couple of Otos and a some hair grass. I intend to plant HG this weekend and get some tetras as the cycling seems complete.
According to my naive fumbling with various calculators, these are the ferts I should use:
(total weekly dry dose):
KNO3 = 555 mg;
K2SO4 = 759 mg;
KH2PSO4 =84 mg;
CSM+B = 347 mg;
I'm also dosing Excel according to bottle instructions and using a Finnex FugeRay Planted+ 36" sitting on top of the tank for lighting.
Do you think my dosage calculations are correct? Will i need CO2 with this lighting/ferts or will Excel be enough? Should I raise the light? Is a goal of 7.5 ppm NO3 sound too low?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated as I'm new to all this. Thanks!
