Cycling problem day 29

So I cycled my 100g with a heavily seeded filter and quick start and bacteria & 4 algae eaters .
The problem is this day 29 50% water change 12,hrs latter
Ammonia .25 to .50
Nitrite 0
Nitrate about 4.0 ppm
PH 8.0 preferred and buffered
Just cant get the ammonia to go to 0 have done 4 50% water changes now .
Running a FX6 filter

Thanks guys I'm kinda stunned here this is not a planted tank it set up with sand and rocks for cichlids.

Yes pretty much from day one maybe a little higher now. My yellow cae makes a huge mess working overtime to clean a large piece of savanna driftwood , its amazing how much waste this one fish puts out from this driftwood. Yes I vacuum the bottom or sand when doing water changes to get the fish poop and junk out.
