E.I. and Purigen

I am using the E.I. method to fertilize. I am also have a bag of Purigen in my W/D filter and am wondering if it removes nutrients from the water column.

Purigen doesn't remove nutrients. It's remove waste before it converts into nitrates.

If you're fertilizing no worries. It will remove nitrogenous waste which would otherwise provide nutrients. EI additions will be unaffected.
