Fert tab recommendation?

I have recently started the PPS Pro fertilization regimen, but have read that Crypts and Swords will benefit from additional root feeding with tabs. Are there any particular brands that have proven successful or are they all much the same? How often does one add new tabs? My substrate is Flourite covered with aqaurium gravel. Thanks for any advice!

A lot of people use gel tabs with osmocote plus in them but I didn't care for all the little empty balls that would float up after time. I have made my own using clay which was cheap and worked well or you can always buy the store brand ones but you can make hundreds of root tabs for the price of a single package if you diy. Here is a good thread to help you along the way.

Thank you for the amazing DIY root tab thread. I was wondering what else to do with the "lifetime supply" of ferts that GLA provides. I'm looking forward to my wife's response when she catches me rolling out clay in her kitchen ).
