Calcium Sulfate

Does any know what calcium sulfate do? The ph in my tap water is naturally 6.4. I am wondering what I can do to control this perhaps make it higher for Crystal shrimp.

You can use baking soda to raise your ph. I don't know the formula right off the bat but a quick search will have you with something to read.

Calcium sulfate is used to raise your GH. It does nothing for pH. You don't need to raise your pH for crystal red shrimp.
