Remineralise RO water

Hello,

I have a reef tank at the moment which Ive had for a few years, I want to set up a smallish freshwater planted tank.

I have an ro system which produces a TDS of 0, obviously I need to buffer this back somehow to use it, are they any decent of the shelve products to do this? ive seen one called Kent RO right, if not is there a formula for adding your own minerals to it?

I want to use ro water as tap water here in London is very poor, nitrates 40ppm P.H is nearly 9.

Your best bet should be to mix it with some of dechlorinated tap water. Controlling the pH of RO water is another story... KENT RO right only reconstitutes KH but it does not add all the traces and macros that your plants would need to grow. There are some products but are usually very expensive to justify not using tap water to bring the chemistry of the RO water to where I want.

I use RO water with a TDS of 10. The only things I add to the water are dry macros, flourish, and seachem's equilibrium, enough to bring the gh up to around 3.
