Storing Dry Ferts

So I was going through my dry ferts today since I never unpacked them when I got them a couple weeks ago. They come in this big zip lock type bag but not like the ziploc brand. I am sure you all know what I am talking about and seen them before. My wife saw me and goes we selling coke? Crap! well that certainly doesn't look good now does it. So it got me thinking. It is rather ghetto looking so was thinking of a nicer way to store it. So I was curious if you roll with the drug dealer look or if you have a certain way you store your dry ferts.

I was thinking about getting something like this to store them in and making labels for them. Would be a little nicer and more shelf friendly and organized. Would probably make for scooping out ferts I am sure easier and cleaner too. They are traditional glass storage jars with airtight bail & seal closures to hermetically seal out air and moisture. Figured these would work? What you think?

As long as they are air tight and can be kept away from moisture, they would be fine to use.

Be careful not to mix them up with the sugar though

Those are sweet! It looks much better than my stash. The baggies do present a rather unsavory impression to others.

When I was moving from Jacksonville to Gainesville I had a shrimp tank, my supplies including including a scale and fertilizers on the front seat of my truck. I wondered how long that traffic stop would have taken. lol

I keep my baggies full tucked in a shoebox.

Ha ha! I would have liked to been on that stop should it have happened. Did you even think anything of it at the time?

We host my daughters church group at our house on Wednesday and a bible study once a month on Saturday. I could just see it happen now. I accidentally leave a bag out and a parent or someone sees it and the rumors start. LoL

That was one reason but I joke about that as it kind of funny. I mainly wanted something nicer and easier to store and that just gave me a reason to do it... LoL

I got my ferts from GLA and when they ship them they come on the bag they are in. Luckily they are those high quality stickers and not those cheap paper stickers so they peeled right off the bag without ripping at all. Then just stuck them on the top and called it a day.

I got the containers from Garden Ridge. The ones in the first pic are from Container Store and they have different sizes and shapes and cheaper for that size. I paid $5 for the ones I got versus $3-4 they had them for. These are that hard plastic so they won't break if you drop them where the Container Store ones are glass. I looked locally so I didn't have to drive an hour into town and got lucky when I found those so I didn't have to drive into town. So it worked out great.

Not until I started passing through the small towns notorious for speed traps. Just tossed a towel over everything.

We joke about this but if someone inadvertently saw baggies and scales on the table most wouldn't ask what you're doing. You would only hear about it later. Those rumors could get pretty nasty.
