Flourish / Excel new otto cats

I want to start trying Excel and Flourish.(Unless I read a case for not using it.) LFS said if I have any algae/possible BBA (I may have some BBA, not sure) hold off on flourish and go with excel. I have already cut down on my light hours.

My question is not about dosing, but rather the otto cats.

I just got 3 a few days ago and they seem to be fine are feeding etc.

I read they can be fragile and take time to get acclimated etc and read some don't always make it etc. My tank has been running for over 3 years so I'm good in the parameters.

Should I hold off dosing?

I read dosing Excel properly is safe for fish, but figured i would ask anyway since the ottos are new and possibly delicate fish.

Thanks,
iso
