Dosing Tom Barr's GH Booster

I've been trying to search for how much to dose for RO water, and I'm having no luck finding anything.

I'm using RO water for my 40 breeder, and want to know how much GH booster to dose for 6-7dGH

A little less. Somewhere around like .7-.8 from where I got the info. Just out the < sign to make things easy to write down but obviously that doesn't make it easy for others to understand! Lol.

Barrs GH Booster
Tom Barr's general water hardness booster contains: Potassium Sulfate, Calcium Sulfate, Magnesium Sulfate. 1 lb.

One Tablespoon or 16 grams will raise the GH of 20 gallons of water by 3 degrees or 1 meg/liter.

Be sure to check that though if you have the ability, I haven't had a chance to personally, mine comes in tomorrow and then I will.

I'll add 1 tbs (your calculations) and then measure my GH in the morning. if 1 tbsp doesnt raise gh to 3, then i'll go from there
thanks!

If you are doing this directly in the aquarium, and you have fish, take it slow.
Raise the GH a degree or two max at any one time, then raise it again a few days later.
Overall, to raise it from zero to 6-7 degrees I would let it take a couple of weeks.

There's no fish in my tank yet, I just wanted my params to be perfect when the fish/plants arrive

I dose 13 grams for 20 gallons that gives me 6 to 7gh ,I premix in a small cup then add to my storage container using a small pump and heater ,I let it sit for 24 hours to climate then add to tank.

13grams is roughly 3 level teaspoons.

You likely will never need this much, certainly not for plants.
1 Tablespoon once a week after a water change is about all you'd ever need.

Tom Barr
