Macro dosing?

My tank is med to high light with Co2 and has few plants no fish and still in cycle and I ghost feed the tank to feed bacteria. I've been dosing EI method, I checked my nitrates and it's around 30ppm but I haven't checked phosphate. So is it okay to skip the Kno3 and just put half dosage of the Kpo4? thanks

You could just skip a couple doses for a few days if your concerned with things building up. Why are you worried though? Those values are right in line with ei dosing.

I'm putting fish food without fish and that converts to nitrates and I don't think I have enough plants to consume what I'm dosing, I'll get couple of more plants. I just skipped the kno3 but did the po4, tank is doing ok, no nuissance algae.

Fish food usually supplies a fair amount of N, P and most traces.
Fish food usually is short of K, Ca and Fe.

Are you using K2SO4 instead of KNO3? If you omit the KNO3, you need to add an alternate source of K.
I would keep up with full EI dosing. It won't hurt anything, and you will find out how your tank will behave later by practicing now.
