i tested 4 water sources with my tetra ph tester here in houston texas
houston texas tap water is 8.5
rain water is 7.5
ozarka bottle water is 5.0
and HEB grocery store, in front of store ro water machine that cost 30 cents a gallon was 7.0 ph
iam keeping apistos at the moment in the tap of 8.5 but have just recently been using the grocery store ro water at 7.0 ph.i water changed 5 gallons of a 30 gallon aquarium with th ro water at 7.0.
i inject co2 so iam going to mix 2 gallons of tap to maybe 25 gallon ro.

To actually test any of those you have to let the water sit for 24-48 hours. Once rain water has degassed it will be almost impossible to get an accurate pH reading on it since it has no buffering ability. Or at least it shouldn't.
