Duh...you're absolutely right, Rex. Had a brain cloud there for a minute. I was just thinking about how long it took to drain my larger tanks. I can do the bucket brigade faster....but only due to my water pressure. Pythons are still a wonderful product.

Build the water change devices. Use a garden hose (3/4") to drain. I can suck half the water out of my 55 in about 4 minutes that way.

Have you looked into PPS (perpetual preservation system)? It requires much less water changes. However, there's a lot of observation and math involved. Look over at APC, there's a sticky on it.

However, I really like water changes. Good for everything. Then again, I only have two ADA 18 gallon tanks.

In college....so no aquariums for a while.....
