Kent Liquid Calcium

It says it's deionized water and calcium chloride...How much should I add to get my calcium level up to a desirable level? It's for marine aquariums, but I figure it will work...Also I have seen some people putting tums in for a calcium source, are there any ingredients that would harm the fish? How many tums would you add to raise the calcium from zero to a desirable level?

Why are you raising Ca levels in the first place?

In college....so no aquariums for a while.....

If your dosing a marine tank with calcium, do you know what your calcium levels are first? Most people keep calcium in the 300-350s... I would stay away from tums...it wont add enough calcium to do any good.

I beleive I have read somewhere that Tom Barr suggest Ca++ levels of 10-500 are acceptable. The main thing is simply not letting it go to low, other than that most plants wont have a problem with the exact level.

So how much would you suggest I dose? Could I do one large dose or should I dose smaller doses?
