Removing Tannins from Water

OK. I have a 10 gallon and 4 gallon. Both have driftwood in them that is causing tannins. I have boiled the driftwood but it doesnt seem to have mattered. I change the water 50% weekly which helps, I suppose it is the only thing you can really do to "combat" the tannins...

My question is, is there any product out there that could possibly help clear it up but is harmless to plants, shrimp, fish. Has anyone tried other methods? Let me know.

Thanks,

Ryan

Filter charcoal (carbon) will help remove it.

PURIGEN = INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!

Thanks a million Fshfanatic! This stuff works wonders on tannins. I bought two of the small bags and put one in my 10 gallon and another in my 4 gallon (each bag is rated for 100 gallons ) and the tannins have disappeared. Unreal! I recommend this stuff for everyone. The water is crystal clear.

Can you tell I am happy

Purigen

Excellent! and like you see on Seachem and on other forums, you can use Purigen in planted aquarium without taking away to much of the nutrient in the water column.
Not like charcoal...
