Fleet enema, Kno3, Iron questions

I just wanted to make sure what I was doing is OK. I don't have a phosphate kit, even thought I need one.

Is it OK to dose 5 drops of fleet for the 5 gallons of water change water weekly on sunday, and then should I add a drop every day or add a 2 drops twice a week, say tuesday and thursday?

My 65 watt PC should come in soon, and i'm using pressurized co2 at about 2.5-3 bps. The drop checker says my co2 is about 30 ppm or so. This is a ten gallon.

I know that I'll have to adjust my ferts when I get the new lights. Right now, my plants use about 5 ppm of nitrate each day. I'm dosing every other day 1/32 teaspoon. Should I dose kno3 daily when my new lights come in? Will I have to increase the phosphates, and how?

Now, is it OK to add flourish iron in the AM and phosphate in the PM? I'm growing several red stem plants. Would it be OK to dose 2 ml's each day instead of 1? Would 1.5 ml's be better?

thanks for reading. this is so very confusing but i'm doing damn well for a teenager if i do say so myself

usually you don't want to dose phosphate and iron at the same time but try doing one in the am and one in the pm and see if it works. If it doesn't you'll know pretty quick as it will precipitate out of the water.

I dose about 2 mL of Fleet into my 60 gal tank 3x a week. That's .5 mL for a fifteen gallon tank three times a week. There's a REALLY simple way to see if you have enough phosphate: do you have Green Spot Algae (GSA) on your tank walls? If yes, then add more phosphate. If no and plant growth is good, then you probably have enough.

I like to keep things simple so I dose mostly dry ferts and I just dump them in as I'm feeding the fish in the morning. I alternate dosing the macros (nitrate, potassium and phosphate) and the trace/iron since each only needs to be dosed three times a week. One day a week the tank gets a day off - no ferts, no fish food (unless there are babies). Since I dose enough to make sure there's never a deficiency, all I have to do is make sure I do a big water change once a week or every two weeks to prevent a build-up. Algae and plant growth lets me know whether there's a deficiency.

I use the fertilization scheme posted on the Dosing Sticky:

Auctually I do have green spot lol.

Ok, How does this sound?

Sunday (water change), .125 tsp Kno3, 1/32 tsp. fleet, 1/32 tsp potassium

Monday, flourish

Tuesday, .06 tsp kno3 ,1/32 tsp fleet , 1/32 tsp. Potassium

Wednesday, flourish

Thursday, .06 tsp Kno3 , 1/32 tsp fleet, 1/32 tsp potassium

Friday, Flourish

I really don't know where to put the iron... I thought I was supposed to add it every day, not 3x weekly. I'm using Flourish Iron.

Not sure about the iron dosage. I don't have mine right just yet.
As for the Po4, I have a 20g tank and dose close to 1/4tsp every other day. You may need to up yours since its just 1/32tsp. Some may say this is OD'ing, but if I dose any less, I get gsa. I don't have any right now. I just do wc's every 4-5 days.

well, adding the extra is only optional. There is iron in the rest of the stuff. I don't think you will get a deficiency if you only dose every other day.

what substrate are you using?
