Yes. It is possible and it may help. If you already have the CSM+B lying around, mix up a solution of 1 TBSP CSM+B and 250 mL water and then just try tweaking the amount of both and see if you get any better results. I don't think that it would be worth it to go and by the CSM+B, but if you already have some, there is no reason not to experiment a little.

Is this every other day? If it is, then I think your Macranda deficiency lies elsewhere. You should have plenty of N,P,K, and Iron if you are dosing this every other day. Could be something like a calcium deficiency thats causing it, but I'm no expert on that.

If you are still burning 2x65x10hrs even ADA Soil will not help things...
to much light is to much light, the R. Macrandra will grow fine in a 29g with 55w or 65w with proper dosing and adequate C02.

I just read this in The Style of ADA 2006 and I quote from an article called "The growth of water plants and total hardness" on page 152: "Most water plants can grow under (a) situation of less than 50 mg/L TH value, but burgeon gets white or does not grow well if it is over 100 mg/L."

I had to look up the word burgeon. It means:
a - to send forth new growth (as buds or branches) : sprout or bloom
b - to grow and expand rapidly : flourish

Your GH is 11 or 196 mg/L. I wonder if your somewhat high GH is causing a problem with it.

I had it growing well in a 10g with 28w of 6700K lighting and DIY CO2 which contained platies in soft water. I went on a short vacation and when I came home; the platies had eaten most of it.

I had 110 watts of AHS light on the 29 gallon tank I had. In my opinion I had too much light. I was chasing algae problems all over the place. Now I have that same light, moved to another hood, over my 45 gallon tank, and life is much more peaceful for me. I always regretted that I bought the 2X55 watt kit and not the 2X37 watt kit for the 29 gallon tank, but in the end it paid off when I switched tanks.

Perhaps put the two lights on a timer, with the second one kicking in in the middle of the day for a few hours. That way you can make use of it and not have buyer's remorse And the bulb lasts longer!
