Have any of you guys used this stuff what is the verdict?
I'm thinking it might stabilize the PH swings I experience (0.3 points), fish not showing any negative reaction so I don't know if I should worry.

Well to start with a planted tank has different needs than a fish tank. We need nitrates and phosphates. And I prefer my phosphate remover to be green and growing. Don't sweat a .3 degree pH swing. It's less than what many of our fish see in a normal day/night cycle in nature. If you want you could add more kH to your tank. That's what actually helps prevent pH swings. But I should ask what your kH is now? I also note they really don't have any scientific results just anecdotal results. There is some interesting reading and warnings about using this product on the Tetra web site.

I would not recommend the use of this product to anyone. If you only want to do water changes twice a year you really should not be a fish owner IMHO. Not unless you are going to keep a single Neon in a 55 gallon tank.

Thanks for the info... I thought this stuff would up the kH.

Have only been able to estimate hardenss using the chart thingy....
Seems to be in 1 to 1.5 range (very soft).... Gonna nag g/f for a kH kit... I'm broke this month, she got bonus...

I really love these survey they use to hawk the product. This statistic is absolutely meaningless, since it only deals with user opinion and not any hard fact.

Just because 66% of all users think EasyBalance improved the health and condition of their fish does not mean this product does anything at all.

The only true test for soft facts like these would be a blind test in which half of the users get EasyBalance and the other half gets just water that looks and smells exactly like EasyBalance. Then compare the results of both groups and see if there is a difference between the users of EasyBalance and the control group.

Look, I think its ideal for people like my dad, who would rather die than have me change any of his tank's water...

I offer, everytime I go visit them... poor fish.

Hey, I don't think this product is useless. I don't even recommend against using it... I only want to bash the misleading use of a poll result by this company to promote their product.
