Question Salt in planted tanks?

Hello..

I appologize if this thread is redundant, but my search didn't find anything conclusive.

I would like to add some salt to my 10 gal planted tank to help an ailing betta, but don't want to disrumpt my plants. Would adding 1 tablespoon per 5 gal be ok for these plants?

My flora:

rotala indicta
wisteria
hemianthus mediu(something)des
mayaca
dwarf lily

i usually add about a teaspoon every week to my 10 gal.. i just eyeball it, its probably even less then that.. couldnt say what two tablespoons would do to the plants though.. probably nothing, but i cant be sure because i've never put that much into a tank with plants. i'm sure someone on here knows.

Adding salt isn't good for any freshwater aquatic plant to my knowledge, but I don't think a little bit of salt is going to necessarily hurt anything. It might be easier to take your betta out an quarantine him.

In college....so no aquariums for a while.....
