dosing CO2 w/out measurening parameters..any luck?

i dont have any test kits...and probably wont get any for a while....and i was wondering if any one on this forum has had success growing plants + have them thrive while dosing from pressurized CO2...and also PMDD.....and just winged it....if so.....please post here...with pics if possible...thanks....

You are running a risk for killing off any fauna in your tank. If you CO2 is to high you will kill your fish. You need to buy a KH and PH test kit. At the most I would say that would cost you 10 bucks. I guess it could be done but why? Did you blow your budget or what

wut are some good test kits out there?....any links would help...i was just wondering if anyone here has had success without testing....thats all...im still a newb.....lets say i didnt have any fish...would co2 be a problem?....

if you want you can use your fish as a guage of co2. For me some fish tend to gasp earlier than others when the co2 is too high. I use female endlers like how they used to use cardinals in coal mines. When the female endlers start gasping I turn the co2 down a bit. I'm sure others do this as well.
