LaMotte test kits

Just wondering what others do to clean their LaMotte test kits after they've finished testing their water?

I got my kits out the other day to see how the reagents were, as they've been in storage for a couple of years due to me having no tank to maintain. The liquid reagents seemed okay but all the dry ones were past their usefullness (all hard and compacted). In the past I've always washed them in normal tap water but it made me think that maybe the residue is affecting the tests.

Most tap water is probably fine, unless you have very high levels of nitrates or phosphates, etc. Personally, I use a little distilled water rinse at the end of each test. A gallon usually costs about $1 and will last forever.
