Just want to say thanks for all of the information over the years. I am a long time lurker who cycles through once and a while.
My question is that I would like to start dosing Chelated Iron independent of the PMDD / EI regime as needed. I have purchased a 16 ounce (473 ml) bottle of "ferti-lome Liquid Iron - and other micro nutrients" The guaranteed analysis is as follows:
Fe (chelated) total.....3.25%
Zn (chelated) total.....0.16%
Derived from: EDTA chelate of copper sulfate, Ferrous Sulfate, Manganese Sulfate, Zinc Sulfate.
First, I am assuming that this is safe for aquatic use. Am I correct?
Second, I am looking for specific instructions on how to dose this in my tanks. Im guessing that this product will need to be diluted. I have tried to calculate this on my own, but my math skills are in the 20th percentile, thus I do not trust my results.
Anyone care to lend a hand? I have a number of tanks, but if someone were to fill in the blanks....
(X) ml of Liquid Iron mixed with (Y) ml of H20 : 1 ml of this solution will add (Z) ppm Iron to a 10 Galllon tank
....I would be set for all my tanks.
Thanks in advance for your help...
