Do I need to dose KNO3 if Nitrate is 10ppm?

I tested water before doisng KNO3 and KH2PO4, I found my Nitrate is already 10 ppm? I think the target for NO3 is 5~10ppm, so do I still need to dose KNO3?

So long as the level is not dropping to zero (or too low), then you might not need to dose. I recently discovered that with my latest tank setup, my NO3 is staying fairly steady throughout the week (less dense plantings and slight overpopulation of fish), so I haven't dosed on a few weeks. So long as you know the 'burn rate' in your tank, you can get by without having to dose certain nutrients, so long as they are getting into the tank somehow (water changes, feedings, once a week additions, etc.).
