K2s04

29 gal tank, 2 wpg, CO2.
Does this sound about right?

K2S04 - mix dry. 1/4 teaspoon to get 17.72 ppm in 10 gallon of water.

Whats my target?

10 gallon hospital tank.
29 & 50 gallon - High Tech C02 enriched.
50 gallon Pond - Natural.

Well, those who follow EI (myself included) aim for a NO3 target around 20ppm (typically just after dosing). I dose 1/4 tsp 3x per week in my 46g. As your light is a bit lower, I would suggest 1/8 tsp 3x per week or maybe 1/4 tsp after a WC?!? As all tanks can vary, you should do some measurements throughout the week to determine what your NO3 burn rate is. Do you plan on daily dosing as recommended by EI or were you hoping for a different approach?

Joe,
IGNORE THIS POST, I THOUGHT YOU WERE DOSING POTASSIUM PHOSPHATE NOT POTASSIUM SULFATE

I mix 1 1/2 teaspoons into 250ml of water. I use old seachem containers. For every 8ml you dose it will increase your PO4 to 1.04 ppm.
People like to target around 1 to 2 ppm of PO4.
I would also suggest getting a test for PO4 to see whats going on in your water from the start.
Just so you know, everyone situation is different, so at first test your water right before water change to see whats going on and don't be alarmed if your PO4 test through the roof, I've had mine as high as 10ppm and higher, with the water change the tank resets itself and you start again adding more or less depending on tests. Before you know it your water chemistry will become second nature to you and you wont have to test anymore. The magic of estimative index.

I guess if 1/4 teaspoon will dose 17.72 in 10 gallons of water and I have a 29 gal tank, and my target is 20 ppm, then I should dose 3/4 teaspoon. But I know this aint right.
HELP

EI method doesn't dose the full amount you want to maintain in the tank every time you dose. The idea is to dose around half of what you want to maintain, and do it three times a week, then do a water change so if the plants didn't keep up with the dosing, you are "resetting' the tank, getting rid of the excess. I dose my 29 gallon tank with: 3/8 tsp KNO3, 1/16 tsp KH2PO4 and about 5-7 ml of a solution of 2 tsp CSM+B+extra iron and 2 tsp MgSO4 in 250 ml water, three times a week.
