Plaster of Paris

There are several suggestions on this forum to use plaster of paris as a source of CaSO4. I got a pail of DAP Plaster of Paris and the ingredients are:

Calcium Carbonate 15.0-25.0 %
Calcium Sulfate 75.0-85.0 %
Crystalline Silica 0.1- 0.5%

According to the Fertilator, I need 2 tablespoons to get me in the right range. When I mixed it up, the result is a very milky solution. When I put this in the tank, will it dissipate?
