Phosphate overdose?

I recently started overdosing phosphorous to about 2.5ppm in order to curb some greenspot algea (on leaves). Now I'm noticing that plant leaves are curling, nor has the GSA diminished. Is there a direct connection here?

2.5 ppm of PO4 shouldn't cause any problems. What is your GH, KH and fertilizing routine?

We have almost the same tanks. I have 240 watts over my 90.
On waterchange (60%) I add 15 to 20 drops out the enema to water that already has PO4 from the tap, to the tune of about 1ppm. So I am guessing I have it to about your "overdose" level frequently, to no ill effects at all.

90 Gallon, eco, pressurized, controlled, 240 watts.

GH=11; KH=7.5; pH=7.0; Co2=20-30ppm

The fert regime is kinda up in the air . I've only had this 90gal for about 6 months and I still haven't figured out a steady routine, it's all touch and go. To be honest I dose according to the bottle (Flourish line ) and have had decent results, but nowhere near what I want.

I've just received a batch of dry ferts (and Fleet). This is where I really want to commit some serious time to get precise with the ferts and hopefully get some impressive growth.

Aside from the GSA, the only problems I have are a little stunted growth and the older leaves on my giant hygro melt. It's been frustrating trying to deviate from the bottle instructions to avoid these problems. I hope that dosing dry will give me a better handle on a good regime.
