nitrate source? anything I might have handy?

I know I can order nitrate fertilizers online, but I was wondering if there is a common chemical laying around my house, or that I can pick up at Home depot that I can use.

I have a ton of greg watson's PMDD mix and a half dozen other things, but it is a shrimp tank and I am concerned that the micros are going to kill my shrimp- I definitely have a nutrient imbalance evidenced by stunted growth and I dose pmdd's at 3x recommended strength and still can't keep nitrates up in this tank, but the phosphates seem high (1ppm) so I am looking for straight nitrate...

20 long 65w PCF DIY CO2 and excel, shrimp, snails and angel fry in the tank.

Letís used a little bit of Snake Oil

I suggested that you pickup your local YellowPages book and look for Hydoponic, there you probably find everything you need for Ferts and be sure that no explosion will occur in your tank.

Green Stump invasion..

I just research on Google, must of the people agree that it is 100% KNo3
and should be explosion safe

Some find that at Wallmart, if you donít mind that childs breathe the stuff to bring it to you.

I put on a disguise when I go shopping there...

and sometime, for fun, I asked innocent clerk, if they have a legal US working permit.
