PH affecting snails ?

Well i dont know where else to place this question.. But im noticing that the shells of my trumpet snails are erroding from the bottom up ? and some of smaller snails are having cracks in their shells... what can be the cause ? im reading around the ph might be the cause ? drop in ph due to co2 maybe ?

i add calcium chloride and epson salt to my tank.

1/4 teaspoon every week at a rough 3:1 ratio... or is this too little calcium and epsom ?

ok i have to go home and check

btw when measuring epsom salt and calcium chloride in a 3:1 ratio, you dont really to it like 1/3 teaspoon epsom with 1 teaspoon cacl right ? i have to do more mgso4 because it is in crystal form and takes up more space... something like that /? im getting confused...
