over dosing ferts...

over dosing fert in planted aquarium is harm to plants?
low tech light...
only plants no fish...
my mix is:
water----0.5l
K2SO4---29g
KNO3----33g
KH2PO4---3g
MgSO4---20g
im dosing 10 gallon/1 ml
what happen if im dosing 3x more then 1ml/10gallon?
is harm to plants?
algae starts grow?

As with anything, the dose makes the poison. It is possible that at appropriate dosages, nothing will be harmed, but at higher doses, you will run into problems.

With fertilizers, rather than harming plants, you would begin to harm livestock. Fortunately, you do not have any livestock, so this should be OK.

However, the other thing you have to watch out for (as you have already realized) is that algae can begin to outcompete plants. It is all about balance.

Yea, too much of anything can be bad. But you gotta be OD'ing a lot before that happens.

If you are concerned about overdosing, just do 50% water changes once a week. That will limit the maximum concentration of anything in the water to 2X your weekly doses. That is why the EI method works so well, along with the fact that you are never short of a nutrient when you dose per EI.
