Colorblind-friendly test kits?
Any other colorblind folks out there?
I ordered Red Sea test kits for pH, Nitrates, Phosphates, and an Aquarium Pharmaceuticals test kit for gH / kH.
Although the colors of the extremes are easy to differentiate, many of the mid-range readings have ambiguous colors that are hard to tell apart.
Is there a brand of test kit that may be easier for me to read? What about the high-end LaMotte kits? Do they still require comparing the color of a liquid to a chart?
I'll probably use this situation to justify buying a pH controller
, but I will need to know the Nitrate and Phosphate levels to appropriately dose fertilizers.

I just ask my wife to read the results for me.

Lamotte isn't very colorful, and gives you samples of each readable value.
My friend Travis is colorblind, can't see shades of red/purple/orange...but can use a Lamotte nitrate and phosphate test kit.

Cool... thanks for the suggestions. I'll have my girlfriend help me for now, but maybe I'll try the Lamotte kits in the future.

Salifert has been working on a line of there. I saw some posts about this on Reef Central. You may want to contact Salifert and see what he's got going. From my understanding he is very good at replying.
