How do you store premeasured ferts?

I like to pre-measure my ferts I dose for EI when I do my weekly water change. It makes it a lot easier to keep up with everything. I have these little gladware storage cups that I use to portion everything. But at 3x per week for macro and trace that's 6 little cups and it's taking up a lot of space.

If you premeasure your dosing, what do you use to store it?

Interesting. I hadn't thought of that. I do like the containers that I have now for the fact that I can let water into the container, shake and pour. It doesn't seem like I could do this easily with these, but maybe I can mix in a cup... I'll have to take a look at these in person and think about it. Thanks!

There is nothing wrong with dissolving the ferts prior to putting them in the tank but it isnt necessary. You can dump the dry ferts directly into the tank without any negative effects.

I have heard that but I guess I've just always done it because the fish go crazy and try to eat the ferts. They spit it back out, but I just figured maybe it was better for them not to eat it! haha

I have dumped the dry ferts in right where the water is most active at the filter outlet. This dissolves the ferts fastest, and spreads it out around the tank while it is still granules, so any one fish is not eating a lot. They do spit it out, as noted above.

However, mostly I pre-mix the dry into the amounts I want to use for a week or more, then dose it in liquid form.

Here's what I use. I'm a big fan.

Individual containers which is nice. Screw on caps. Convenient storage tray. Good size (probably about 2.5-3 tsp max but I haven't tested). Fairly cheap ($8.70 on amazon w/ free shipping if you have prime, which I highly recommend).

Sotty this looks great! I saw a photo of one of these the other day somewhere on here but I couldn't find it again. This is what actually prompted me to make this post. This looks nice because I could store ferts in it for everyday - and then dry dose / or mix.

I think I might get this!

Np, was probably the thread I started after buying them. I was getting nagged at by the significant other for spilling kno3 granules when I was scooping...

I found some dollar store plastic containers that are sort of like Tupperware hold about 3 or so ounces and you get 10 for a dollar if I remember right. Work well enough for fertz and other little parts and things.
