Redox in my tank
After having some fun with the oxygen meter, I got my friend's ORP meter for some more fun. I have tried look at over on the net, all suggested that water column redox isn't really an issue for a planted tank, all suggest around 250 would be ideal. Is that true?
I let the monitor settle for a few hours, and then it reads around 368 just before the sun comes up (light on... really), and around 371 at the end of the day. Is it normal reading for a high-light tank? I heard that too high the redox is bad for water column micro-nutrients as they become oxidised too fast. Is that true?
Thanks in advance for any inputs.
